Hot Four Productions recognizes characters who want to be understood, but their blind spots and defense mechanisms make them difficult to connect with others.

We gravitate toward stories about the overlooked and the underestimated. We make films that delve into uncomfortable spaces, letting characters wallow in their beautiful, hypocritical messes. Our humor is found in how people passionately defend their worst decisions, and our drama lives in the fallout of those decisions.

Whether shepherding our own internal development slates or partnering with external projects as an agile on-set production unit, we bring this same analytical precision to set. We build dedicated, resourceful creative environments designed to make indie films that are darkly funny, a little weird, and searching for our humanity.
